De Niro was founded in 1981 in the heel of Italy, and its boots are made by hand in its own factory in Casarano. A main-line boot has a calfskin leg and lining, a 9 mm YKK zip and a leather sole with Vibram®. We are an official UK stockist, in Bolney, West Sussex.

Two ways to buy

Ready-sized: Tricolore, De Niro’s ready-sized line, from £289. Made to order: any of the 47 main-line models or the 75 collezioni boots, built in Casarano in your chart size, typically in four to five weeks. Any made-to-order boot can also be built to twelve measurements of your own legs, for £160 more.

How a De Niro size is written

Foot – Height – Calf, for example 38 – MC – S. Feet run in whole EU sizes from 34 to 46, heights from XC to A, calves from XXXS to XXL: 520 standard fits. If you are between two foot sizes, size up. See the De Niro size chart.

Are De Niro riding boots good?

They are made by hand in De Niro’s own factory in Casarano, Italy, as they have been since 1981. A main-line boot has a calfskin leg and lining, a 9 mm YKK zip and a leather sole with Vibram®, and comes in 520 standard fits or made to measure.

What are Tricolore boots?

Tricolore is De Niro’s ready-sized line. You choose a size from the standard chart, with a short list of options such as crystals, a reinforced dressage shaft or a leather sole. Our Tricolore tall boots start at £289.

How long does a De Niro boot take?

Made-to-order boots are built in Casarano once you order, and typically arrive in four to five weeks. We confirm the date when you order.

How much do De Niro boots drop?

A new tall boot settles at the ankle as the leather softens: about 1.5 cm, in our fitting experience. That is why we fit a little tall when new, and why our Fit Finder allows for it.
