Our Fit Promise

Made to measure

Ordering boots you've never tried on takes trust. Here's how we earn it.

A made-to-measure boot can't go back on a shelf — it's built for one leg in the world: yours. We know that's the thing that makes people hesitate before ordering remotely. So instead of asking you to hope, here's exactly what happens between your order and a boot that fits — and what we do if it doesn't.

Checked by a real fitter

Simon — twelve years of fitting riders — personally reviews every measurement before anything is confirmed to Italy. Anything unusual, we query with you first.

Nothing cut until you confirm

Your 4–5 week build starts only when we both agree the measurements are right — never before.

A person, not a ticket queue

If anything is wrong when your boots arrive, you talk to the same small team in Bolney that checked your order — phone, email or WhatsApp.

Activate your Fit Promise as you measure

After you order, we walk you through your measurements video by video — and as you go, you snap a quick photo of the tape in position with the phone that's already in your hand. Send us the set, and once Simon has confirmed your photos and numbers, your Fit Promise is active:

  • 14 days to tell us if the fit isn't right when your boots arrive — indoor try-on only, carpet is your friend.
  • UK riders: post the boots back to us and we take care of everything from there — the alteration itself, the trip to and from DeNiro's workshop, and delivery back to your door, all at our cost.
  • International riders: the fastest fix is usually local — have the adjustment done by a specialist near you and we'll reimburse up to £100 against a receipt. If it's work only the factory can do, get the boots to us and we'll cover the alteration and the journey back to you.

And if a boot genuinely can't be altered to fit, we work with you and DeNiro directly to make it right. In twelve years of fitting riders remotely, we've never left anyone stuck with boots they can't wear.

Prefer not to send photos? No problem — you'll still get our full measurement review and fitting support on every order. The photo check is simply what lets us go further and guarantee the alteration cover.

The fine print, in plain English

What do the photos need to show?

Simply the tape in position at each point as you measure — you're standing there with the tape anyway, so each shot takes a second. Our guide shows exactly what a good photo looks like at every step. Send the set by reply to your order email, or WhatsApp them over.

How long does an alteration take?

Most adjustments are far quicker than a new build — and we'll give you the honest timeline for your specific fix before the boots leave your hands, not after.

What isn't covered?

We'd rather be straight with you: the promise doesn't cover measurements we weren't able to confirm together before production, boots that have been ridden in or altered elsewhere before we've seen the issue, or ordinary wear and damage from use. Manufacturing faults are a different matter — those we take up directly with DeNiro on your behalf.

What happens to my photos?

They're used solely to verify your fit, are seen only by our fitting team, and are deleted 60 days after delivery unless a fit claim is open.
